Arimidex

Arimidex is commonly introduced into a steroid cycle to fight estrogen related side effects. Arimidex can also be used in conjunction with PCT to normalize body chemistry and to ensure that you don’t achieve any kind of water retention after your cycle is completed. Often used to combat negative side effects with estrogen.

With most anabolic steroids being derived from testosterone also being subject to convertion to estrogen by the aromatase enzyme Arimidex can help manage the estrogenic side effects of steroid use.  Inhibiting this enzyme not only helps prevent estrogen production but also enhances the effects of steroids by delaying their breakdown.  Arimidex improves the testosterone to estrogen ratio by simultaneously preventing the destruction of testosterone and the creation of estrogen.  Arimidex is useful when one is prone to estrogenic side effects.  Arimidex is quite powerful and can achieve a high degree of estrogen blockade.

Side Effects

Taking Arimidex is a powerful way to combat the estrogenic side effects of anabolic steroids but users may also suffer side effects from estrogen deficiency if dose is too high.  Stop taking Arimidex if the following symptoms are experienced and resume at a lower dose after symptoms subside.  Adverse reactions include: body aches and pains (back pain, bone pain, joint pain or stiffness), headache, flushing and sweating (hot flashes), upset stomach, dry mouth, trouble sleeping (insomnia), depression, and mood changes.

Arimidex is a true aromatase inhibitor which works by blocking the aromatase enzyme in the body, thus limiting the amount of estrogen buildup that takes place. Arimidex has obvious benefits to bodybuilders who use aromatizing steroids such as testosterone. These individuals might face estrogen related side effects such as water bloat and “gyno”, but by taking Anastrozole while on cycle, the chance of any of these sides are greatly reduced.
